Nalia Co. is a private company for construction established
late August 2007. And Civil Engineer Shaswar Abdul-Wahid is the chairman and
the CEO of the company.
In this short period, Nalia Co. has accomplished several
housing projects and currently planning to implement couple of tourist and
Nalia CO., based in Sulaimaniyah Northern Province, has 28
engineers, 16 surveyors plus 128 admin and technicians supervising 5000

projects only in Sulaimaniyah yet considering expansion to other provinces to
implement tourism and industrial and construction projects.
Below is a summary for the projects Nalia Co. has achieved
up to day:
1. German Village 1
The project of German Village is one
of the construction projects by Nalia Co. covering 22 donums in Twimalik
District of Sulaimaniyah, one of the nicest and best districts in the city. The
project is composed of 380 flats and houses.
The budget of the project was
USD40.000.000. The first stage of building 60 houses started on 11.11.2007 and
ended on 01.06.2008. In the second stage, 320 flats were built, finished on

kinder-garden and primary school.
2. Kurd City 1
The second project of Nalia Co. is located south of
Sulaimaniyah, covering 960 modern flats with full public services. The flats
are of three types, 70, 90 and 110 square meter costing USD30.000-50.000. The
total budget is 42 million Dollars. Flats are given to ordinary people who have
no houses for 10-year long installments with support of KRG Housing Fund. KRG
and Nalia CO. pay for the costs and the owners pay them back in 10-11 years.
In only 48 hours, the flat were sold per application forms.
The project commenced on 07.01.2009 and took only 14 months.

3. German Village 2
The project is an extension to German Village 1 containing
424 villas and flats with different areas. The budge of the project is 62
million Dollars and work started in May 2009 and due to be finished within 14
months plus extension days.
As the housing Fund of KRG does not
cover such projects, Nalia CO. offered the villas for five part payments and
the flats for five-years-installment.
4. Kurd City 2
This project is next to Kurd City 1.
It promises 1000 flats with a budget of USD45.000.000. Just liike Kurd City 1,
the project is supported by the Housing Fund and given to people with a 10-year
installment. The project has started two months ago and to take one more year.
5. Chavy Tourist City
This project can be considered the
biggest tourist projects in the city. The construction is due to start in
coming November to cover 750.000 square meters with the budget of USD200.000.000
and to be ready in 30 months.
Chavy Tourist city is going to
contain amusement park, zoo, a five-star hotel, typical and tourist villas,
cabins plus others like restaurants and sky games.
This project, located in the plains of Goyzha Mountain,
looks forward to attract tourists and travelers from all over Iraq and neighbor
countries to Kurdistan region and to enhance Tourism sector.
6. Cement Factory
Nalia Co. has got the official license to establish a
factory for producing cement with the production capacity of 5000 tones per
day, 2.000.000 per year.
Location is ready containing limestone as raw material. One
tone of cement is going to cost only USD20 while it was for USD100-150 per tone
in the last three years.
Nalia Co. now is looking for a professional partner to set
up the factory and Turn the keys in 18 months. Further details can be discussed
